Ixtapa, the site of South of the Border (SOB) XV, is a modern resort with fine hotels, fine food, and a rich night life set on one of the best volleyball beaches in Mexico. Or if you like the traditional, you can catch the flavor of old Mexico in the fishing village of Zihuatanejo. Zihuat (zee-watt) offers excellent sea food and shopping on a magnificent bay that harbors a local fleet of fishermen waiting to take you to its sailfish rich waters. There are those that come for the sun, the water, the snorkeling, the food, the new friendships or another perfect sunset. Then there are those that come for the game: two's, four's, men's, women's, coed, or whatever their heart desires.

SOB Volleyball Vacations has been organizing travel packages and tournaments in Mexico for since 1994. We began capping the trip at 160 participants, 80 men and 80 women, in 2001 and added a second week in 2002. Participants hail from all over the states, Canada, Europe and South America and included players of all levels from beginners to pros. Each year's trip runs $1,200-1,500 US and includes airfare, hotel, drinks, food, transfers, daily pick-up play, a Round Robin Coed/4 Person Tourney, and a Pro Am Round Robin (5 star!) Doubles Tourney.
